Most kids I know love to draw. It's the best way to express yourself finally, enjoy yourself, so when an additional benefit, you should use your drawing skills to produce gifts for other people. Who knows--one day, you need to use those skills to produce money, too. If you wish to figure out how to draw better, here are a few drawing tips for kids.
Practice makes better
You've probably heard the saying, "practice makes perfect." Well, this is a lie. Practice doesn't make perfect, but it makes better. No matter how good your drawing skills are, you'll be able to still practice and get better. Even professionals still practice and learn, on a regular basis.
So make it a priority to train regularly. Every day is most beneficial, but it doesn't have to be for the number of years. If you'll be able to squeeze in 15 or twenty minutes every single day, you will notice an improvement very soon. What's that--you say you happen to be too busy? How about drawing when the commercials come on during your favorite tv program. You can simply get twenty minutes of practice in if you do that throughout the commercials of merely one one-hour show.
Use size to indicate distance
The closer something is to you, the larger it looks. So when you have two objects about the page and want to produce one look farther away, ensure it is small compared to the opposite one. This works better yet if you add a straight line, referred to as a horizon line, going over the page. Erase other locations where your two objects cross those lines.
Draw closer objects lower about the page
If you happen to be drawing two trees, then one is nearer to you, draw that one lower about the page. This will ensure it is look like nearer to you. Even better, draw it lower about the page and bigger than the opposite tree.
Now try adding a horizon line over the page, somewhere so it crossed the trees. Erase the queue where it crosses the trees, since the trees will be in front of the queue. You just did three things to produce your drawing look more three-dimensional and real. That wasn't so difficult, maybe it was?
The next step is to apply the following tips you've learned to your drawings. This may help them look more believable. Even should you draw cartoons instead of realistic drawings, using size and foreshortening can make your drawings better yet.
